Barns and Farms in the Landscape - Opening Day

May 28-July 10, Main House Art Gallery, open during Main House hours
In 1888, John Milton Hay quietly began acquiring nearly 1,100 acres of abandoned farms to create his family’s new summer home, and in the early 1900’s, The Fells itself became a self-sustaining working farm. In this all new art exhibit, select artists from the New Hampshire Art Association, capture the essence of historic and contemporary barns and farms that are an important feature of the New Hampshire landscape.
