A Planned Gift to the John Hay Estate at The Fells enables you to leave a legacy in your community.
The John Milton Hay Endowment Fund was established to ensure the John Hay Estate at The Fells will remain a treasure in the community and preserved forever on the shore of Lake Sunapee to be enjoyed by future generations.
The Fund will be held in perpetuity and will be used exclusively for the preservation and maintenance of the buildings, grounds and gardens, on such projects as are authorized by the Board from time to time. It is intended that General Purpose funds (including resulting income) be used exclusively to ensure that The Fells will fulfill its long-term preservation and maintenance commitments under the Historic Preservation Easement, the Hay deed, and the National Registry of Historic Places listing.
