Thank You, Fells Volunteers!

Become a Volunteer

Volunteering is a Fells tradition. It began with a small group of passionate volunteers in 1988 and over the years the ranks of Fells volunteers have ebbed and flowed with approximately 180 dedicated individuals. Fells volunteers are active, dynamic and creative individuals who possess the time, talent, and expertise to help further our vision of the John Hay Estate at The Fells.

Interesting opportunities await in horticulture, interpretive programs, preservation, development and special events. To learn more about Volunteer Opportunities at The Fells, please contact our Outreach Coordinator at 603-763-4789 x6 or email outreach@thefells.org.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart of The Fells. Whether you join a weekly crew or pitch in for a single event, your time and talents make a real impact. We offer opportunities for all ages, interests, and experience levels, each helping us welcome visitors and create enriching experiences inspired by our lakeside landscape, renowned gardens, and the legacy of John Hay. With options ranging from one‑time shifts to ongoing roles, there’s truly a place for everyone.
