About The Society of Irregulars

As 19th century French artist Auguste Renoir points out, the phenomenon of irregularity is evident everywhere. Society of Irregulars exists simply to explore this reality in depth. All of the elements of our organization, from teaching—to supporting professional artists—to setting out with groups into nature, museums, culturally-rich centers and so on to absorb a place and take artistic notes—all of this together encapsulates our one true form. Society of Irregulars is a study of the beneficial impact of creative interaction amongst nature on individuals and how these experiences may propagate into a greater societal appreciation for that nurturing connection between human beings and our environment.
