Using the proper tool, learning the proper method, tackling a task at the right time and generally understanding a little bit of many factors, can make a big difference in the health, vitality, and performance of trees and shrubs in your landscape. In this 2-part program, we will take a look at the tools you need to do the right job.  We will discuss and practice techniques so that your cuts are appropriate and effective. We will discuss possible objectives and plans to consider before you set to work. We will take a close look at specific types of fruit-bearing trees and shrubs, perhaps even a few ornamental specimens that are often found in our New England landscapes and gardens.  And finally, after a brief time in the classroom, we will venture outside to put our new knowledge to the test. There is no requirement to attend both sessions.
