Pam Bartlett grew up around rug hooking, a craft that was once common in households along the eastern seaboard in New England and Atlantic Canada. She believes it is important to preserve the traditional crafts and skills once vital to the comfort and necessity of everyday life. She is a certified rug-hooking teacher with the National Guild of the Pearl McGown Hookcrafters, named for the legendary Massachusetts pattern maker and rug hooker. This workshop is part of our children’s arts series, open at all ages. The event will be held rain or shine in the Pavilion at The Fells.
