Join us, this late afternoon with Jonathan Olmsted who is a direct relative of the noted Landscape Architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Jonathan will be presenting a program based upon the 200 Years of Frederick Law Olmsted.
2022 marks the 200th Anniversary of the “Father of American Landscape Architecture” birth. During these years, he had over 6000 projects, 500 commissions, 40 campuses for colleges and secondary schools, and designed over 100 public parks. These parks include Central Park of New York City, Boston, MA Park System, Buffalo, NY Park System, the United States Capital, Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC, and The Gardens of Tracy Library, New London, NH.
He also influenced two of the five gardens at the John Hay Estate at The Fells, the Rock Garden and the Old Garden designed by Clarence Hay.
Please call (603) 763-4789 Ext.3 to reserve a seat in our Pavilion for our planning purposes. The event is free of charge, but we encourage and appreciate a $10 donation to help to cover our expenses. Wine and cheese will be served.
